Problem Solving Profile of Students with High Self-Efficacy Levels in terms of Gender

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of MTs students. The purpose study was to describe profile students with high self-efficacy in terms students' gender. method qualitative research, where subject consists one male student and female a level from class VIII-A. main instrument researcher himself, supported tests, questionnaires, interview guidelines. data analysis technique carried out using stages, namely: reduction, presentation, conclusion. results showed that solving problems were superior self-efficacy, (1) In stage understanding problem, able name all information known asked. (2) planning stage, are good enough determining strategies. (3) implementing plan, following planned strategy. However, practice, make many mistakes, so obtained not correct. (4) re-examination re-examine their answers.
